Type
Solid wire for submerged arc welding with 17% Cr.
Applications

Cladding seats, valves, wheels, shafts etc.

Properties

Submerged arc welding wire to be used with fused flux FL 880 or agglomerated flux FL 838 flux with excellent welding properties. Stainless deposit with low carbon content. Low heat input is recommended to avoid pronounced grain coarsening. Absence of stabilization means that this steel is distinctly vulnerable to sensitization phenomenon during welding, even though martensite hogs a great amount of carbon and nitrogen.
